"Tempering is a uniquely Indian cooking technique. I wanted to create jewellery based on the magical act of pouring hot spiced oil into cooked food. The 'Baanley' Hoops are a sculptural rendition of a smaller cooking pot hovering over a larger cooking pot. They are dramatic, yet light and essentialist. They express a fondness for familiar functional objects and everyday rituals. The reflective surface catches light and draws attention to the beautiful curves of the earrings. Handcrafted in 925 silver, they are conversation pieces perfect for social gatherings and special occasions."
