"Tempering is a uniquely Indian cooking technique. I wanted to create jewellery based on the magical act of pouring hot spiced oil into cooked food. The 'Baanley' ring is a sculptural rendition of a smaller cooking pot hovering over a larger cooking pot. It is dramatic, yet light and essentialist. It expresses a fondness for familiar functional objects and everyday rituals. The reflective surface catches light and draws attention to the beautiful curves of the ring. Handcrafted in 925 silver, this is a conversation piece that is great for casual outings, social gatherings and special occasions. The ring is adjustable. I recommend wearing it on the index finger."
